18th Judicial Circuit Court Arts Commission
In 2018, the 18th Judicial Circuit Court Arts Commission was formed to review the framed documents, plaques and artwork located throughout the public spaces in the courthouse. The Commission is chaired by retired Judge Ron Sutter and is comprised of judges, attorneys. administrative staff members and a student representative. The goal of the Commission is to create a courthouse environment which conveys and reflects the principles and ideals of our justice system. The Commission has created a Hall of Justice on the main floor of the courthouse which displays artwork reflecting justice-related themes, such as fairness, equality, impartiality, independence, due process and equal protection of the law.
